Key features of the Destiny card

- No security deposit needed.
- Soft-pull prequalification so you can check before committing.
- Monthly reporting to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
- Mastercard benefits including zero-liability fraud protection.
Destiny fees and APR
Like other Concora Credit cards, Destiny trades the deposit for fees. Offers can include an annual fee, a monthly fee after the first year, a high variable APR, a foreign transaction fee and optional over-limit coverage that charges a fee each time it's used. Over a full year, a monthly fee alone can add up to well over $100, so it deserves as much attention as the annual fee.
Over-limit coverage is optional. If you opt in, transactions that push you past your limit may be approved — and charged a fee. If you leave it off, those transactions are simply declined. For most people rebuilding credit, declined is the better outcome.
Destiny vs. Milestone
Both cards come from the same issuer and servicer and work very similarly. The practical differences come from your specific offer: limit, annual fee, monthly fee and promotional terms. If you prequalify for both, choose the one with the lower total two-year cost and the higher limit. Our Concora Credit cards page walks through the comparison.
Expert tips for Destiny cardholders
- Pay the opening annual fee quickly so it doesn't sit on your statement as utilization.
- Set low-balance and payment-due alerts in your online account.
- Use the card for one predictable bill and pay in full.
- Review your statement every month for unexpected fees.
- Recheck your score after six months — you may qualify for lower-cost cards.
